The Foundation for Monterey County Free Libraries was founded in 1989 with the intention of assuring and accelerating the mission of the Monterey County Free Libraries by providing assistance and outreach.

Since then, we have raised over $3,000,000 to support programs including Summer Reading Club, Student Support Centers, adult literacy, and English courses. In addition, we have helped increase access to free Wi-Fi, grow library collections, improve facilities, and fund bookmobiles. This is only a small portion of how FMCFL and our supporters like you have helped MCFL.
